Being an Intern is an integral part to our team and is how we are able to do what we do! The Porcupines have a "learn-by-experience" approach to our internships, and want you to grow, succeed, and spread your wings! With the Porcupines you will learn all about the different aspects of your department, and we provide an environment to let your creativity soar!
As an Porcupine Intern you will be able to take on specific tasks, projects, and take responsibility for them yourself! It isn't easy, but it will be worth it! We want interns to challenge themselves in their department, to cultivate the best experience that we can give our fans and our community! The majority of Internships will be In-Person in Pineville, NC.
Game Day Operations
As a Game Day Operations Intern, you will play a crucial role in ensuring smooth and engaging game day experiences for fans attending Porcupines baseball games. Your responsibilities will include:
- Gate Management: You’ll manage gate operations, welcoming guests, and ensuring efficient entry for all home games.
- Event Planning: Assist in planning and preparation for each home game, coordinating logistics, and ensuring everything runs seamlessly.
- Attendance: Attend all home games to oversee operations and address any on-the-spot requirements.
This internship provides an exciting opportunity to be part of the action, contribute to the team’s success, and gain valuable experience in sports event management.
Entertainment
As an Entertainment Intern, you will be an integral part of creating an exciting and memorable game day experience for fans attending Pineville Porcupines baseball games. Your responsibilities will include:
- Game Day Operations: Assisting in day-to-day functions of game day entertainment, including cheerleader performances, mascot appearances, and fan patrol programs.
- Event Coordination: Working closely with the General Manager and other interns to plan and execute game day elements, such as special events
- Entertainment Groups: Correspondence and coordination with entertainment groups involved in enhancing the game day experience.
This internship provides a unique opportunity to gain hands-on experience in sports entertainment and contribute to the vibrant atmosphere at Pineville Porcupines games.
MARKETING & SOCIAL MEDIA
The Pineville Porcupines have an awesome brand! But who cares if they don't see it!?! That is where you come in. Being apart of the Marketing Wing of the Porcupines means putting your ideas and skills to the ultimate test! If you have a passion for Sports Marketing, Content Creation, and being a people person, than this is the spot for you! Get to know the people, and help us give the community what they want in their baseball team!
In this role you can expect to make sales calls, coordinate with the Marketing Team to create marketing strategies, create content for social media, and having a hands-on approach to community outreach! Networking will be big, so bring a great attitude and your best smile too!
All Marketing Interns will be able to work Hybrid in Pineville, NC. All Marketing Interns will report to our Marketing Lead
BRAND AMBASSADOR
We need help letting people know about the team! If you are a go-getter, love to talk with people, and are willing to get out and be part of the community in letting people know about the team then this is the role for you! Put your motivation to work as you go around to businesses and organizations to help spread the word about the team, our season, and our advertising opportunities that are available.
All Brand Ambassadors will work directly with the Administration and will need the ability to work within the Pineville and Greater Charlotte, NC area.
